I'm so hungry I could eat THE LOFT

The Loft is an oyster and wine bar located on the ever so busy Gouger Street. I actually used to hate oysters but on our first anniversary Mr Tidehunter took us to eat kilpatricks, and ever since then I've loved them. When we're feeling like oysters, we always head to The Loft now.
They have a good choice of side dishes, we usually get the fries. (I know, you can get fries anywhere, but these are pretty nice!) The garlic aioli compliments it perfectly, and tomato sauce is tomato sauce.
The salt and pepper whitebait is really nice too, the serving is generous and they're nice and crunchy. They come with another mayo based sauce, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is.
This is what we come here for, the kilpatrick oysters, made with aged prosciutto and local Coffin Bay oysters. They're absolutely delicious.

Overall, the food here is really nice, especially if you want to just sit down and have a chat with someone. I find their drinks weirdly expensive though, even though I don't drink alcohol. Their soft drinks have a lot of ice in them, which is mildly disappointing. Other than that, the atmosphere is fantastic, the service is lovely, and nothing beats sitting on a balcony overlooking Chinatown and slurping back some oysters.

Aghan charcoal kebab village is the new location for the aghan kebab place down on South Rd. The same owners with the same menu but a completely new look, the new location features shiny new furniture and a larger seating area but with the same great food they've always had.
We both ordered the chicken kebabs. The kebabs are accompanied with rice, salad and 2 sauces. One of the sauces is a minted yoghurt, the other is a vinegar and tomato based sauce. The chicken itself is deliciously soft and tender, and the charcoal flavour is very comforting. The serving size is very generous and even I struggle to finish my meal off.

When I thought this place had closed down I was definitely a bit dissapointed, so I'll certainly come back as I have done numerous times before to the old location. It's the perfect place for some cheap lunch or dinner if you're feeling like something meaty.

I'm so hungry I could eat RENA'S THAI KITCHEN

One of the places I frequent when I'm craving Thai food is Rena's Thai kitchen, located on the East side of Adelaide this place is a suburban gem.
The pepper soft shell crab is absolutely delicious. Crunchy soft shell crab with pepper seasoning accompanied with vegetables such as coriander and onion make this dish a must order! It also has a generous serving of soft shell crab which is always good to see.
The drunken noodles were very well flavoured with a healthy serving of chicken and vegetables were mixed in as well. What made the dish even better for me were the noodles, they were almost like sheets with how wide they were. I personally love wide flat noodles so it definitely was a plus for me.

Overall this restaurant warrants returning over and over again, however it can be hard to get a seat sometimes as it is quite small and quite popular. The menu has quite a number of choices and the flavours are great. Definitely give it a try if you feel like Thai food.
